His view of Pinoso Campsite

Pinoso Campsite is called Tranquilo and is on the CV83 out of Pinoso toward Jumilla, there is a track on your right just after the Isabel Restaurant.
Tranquilo gate and track

The site owners were very friendly, the site easy to access, even for our American RV "Monty".
The pitches are large at around 10metres x 20metres, the surface is crushed Marble chipping which makes putting pegs in, bicycle riding and Mike the scooter a little precarious, but ok with caution.
Monty lost in the big pitches

There was a fresh French baget every morning for under a Euro, lovely to have for breakfast all warm... Mmmm.

Pinoso was small but nice, with a very useful Chinese store which has everything the Consum supermarket and Repsol garage shop do not. Walk around, its has a centre that is a bit offset, but nice when you find it.

The site was securely fenced.

It is 2.5KM to Pinoso centre, so walkable, but no path on the CV83.

The local National Park is quite attractive with lovely views,
Park and views, quite lovely
we did walk there and back, which should be 6KM, but due to a slight navigational aberration we walked 16.5KM. I emphasise I was never lost, I knew where Tranquilo was and that we were not there. The walk was lovely if a little long and near the end a persistent whining noise was quite irritating from the boss. The only real hassle is the rural houses with their guard dogs, as you go by they bark, howl and throw themselves at the fence or gate, mercifully none had a hole for them to get through, I carry a pointy walking stick, just in case, they are pretty big.
Walking La Caracha Park with pointy stick
I suspect they are nearly insane with boredom.
The weather took a turn toward cold and windy whilst we were there, and I have to say the site is a little exposed, Monty was rocking on his jacks and we had to retract the slider quite a few times to reduce the wind impact.

We extended our one month at the site by a few days and this lead to my only critism, they charged a higher rate despite having stayed so long, when challenged they said no mistake, so if you go there and want to have a chance to talk it through, make sure you see the invoice BEFORE you pay, they send it by e-mail otherwise, so we did not really have a chance to discuss this face to face. After a lovely stay, it left a bad taste, it felt a bit grabby. But business is business I guess.
But good facilities, always clean and fresh, which is important.
